Biography
Florencia Trucco (b. 1978, San Jorge, Santa Fe) is an abstract painter living and working in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Her practice centers on color as both subject and medium. Working with pure planes that interlock without texture or gradient, she creates compositions where chromatic relationships evoke emotion and silence. Subtle forms emerge from the color fields, horizons or floating shapes that invite the viewer to be carried by the vibration of color rather than guided by representation.
Trucco's artistic development has been shaped through sustained studio practice alongside formative programs with Sergio Bazán (2013-2016), Tulio De Sagastizábal (2018-2020), and Verónica Gómez (2022). Since 2021, she has worked at Taller Basilio, a shared studio in the La Paternal neighborhood of Buenos Aires, developing her work in dialogue with a community of contemporary artists.

Artist statement
Color lies at the heart of my artistic language. I'm drawn to its richness, its nuances, and its ability to communicate without words. Like music, color can evoke deep emotions and convey peace, joy, stillness, or sadness.
I'm interested in the inner world and in connecting through the senses rather than the intellect. I aim for color to be the true protagonist.
